Weather. 

Well there was a bit of rain when I arrived at 08.30 but when we started to tackle up at 09.00 it was fair and not a drop of rain for the rest of the day.

The wind was just about ideal all day with a very reasonable breeze and just the odd gust. There was an odd bit of flat calm in the shelter of the Trees. 

You could not wish for a better day at this time of the year.

Remarks. 

Well a decent day for most of us. Very little rising but then there was nothing really to bring them up. John had a bit of action to a Black Flat Daddy but nothing that would stick. So Pulling and Twiddling was the order of the day. John had most of his fish on a White Lure and mine were on and Olive Lure.

I heard Alastair mention a Silver Butcher but did not hear much else. Well done to Andy on his best day of the season. 

As an aside Joy and James Gardiner had 25 fish to their boat with James on 17 to a Fry Pattern. Fry Pattern is James's secret code with the Coldingham Cup coming up on Sunday and John and I fishing in it !!! Ha Ha
